How we work

We're an installer-network brand, not a single local installer. When you send an enquiry, we match it to an MCS-certified installer covering your postcode from our UK-wide network, and they handle your survey, design and installation directly. We don't hold a single trading premises and we don't run a phone line — every enquiry comes in through the contact form or leads@solarbaseenergy.co.uk, and installers follow up by email (or by phone, if you give us a number to pass on).

Why battery-first

A solar-only system exports most of its output for a fraction of the import price and does nothing for you when the grid goes down. Adding storage changes both of those things — which is why every page on this site, from EV charging to smart tariffs, is written around how it connects back to the battery, not just the roof.

How we keep this site accurate

Regulatory details change — VAT rules, Smart Export Guarantee rates, grant eligibility. We keep year-pinned facts in one place across the site and check them against primary sources rather than repeating figures we've seen elsewhere. Where a number depends on your supplier or installer (like exact battery pricing or your SEG rate), we say so instead of guessing.
