Privacy Policy

Who we are

Solar Base Energy ("we", "us", "our") operates solarbaseenergy.co.uk. We are a UK-wide installer-matching service: we do not hold a single trading premises, and enquiries are handled through our web forms. Solar Base Energy is the controller of the personal data you send us through this site. To contact us, use the online contact form.

What we collect

When you submit our contact form or the free quote form on the home page, we collect:

• Your full name
• Email address
• Postcode
• Phone number, if you choose to provide one on the contact form
• The service you're enquiring about and any message you add

We also use standard technical data (such as pages visited and general device information) collected through Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used. This analytics is subject to your cookie consent choices.

How we use it

Whether you use the contact form or the quote form, we use your details to match your enquiry with an MCS-certified installer who covers your postcode, and we share them with that installer so they can send you a quote. We may reply to you by email ourselves. We do not sell your personal data to third parties, and we do not use it for marketing beyond following up on the enquiry you submitted.

Legal basis

We process your enquiry data on the basis of your consent (submitting the form) and our legitimate interest in connecting you with a relevant installer, in line with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

How long we keep it

We retain enquiry data only for as long as needed to process your request and for a reasonable period afterwards in case of a follow-up query, after which it is deleted.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us to access, correct, delete or stop processing your personal data. Use our online contact form to make a request. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

Cookies

We use only the technical and analytics cookies needed to run and understand the site. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
